The Babitonga Ecosystem is home to a rich diversity, exuberant landscapes, geological formations, life stories and cultural traditions, which represent a range of tourist attractions with great potential.
Tourist attractions are all the natural and cultural elements of a region with the potential to elicit public interest in tourism. According to the Ministry of Tourism, the production chain of a region for this economic segment depends on the formalization of its attractions in the form of tourist products that, in addition to the services and facilities offered, are marketable.
The Babitonga Ecosystem is home to a rich diversity of species of fauna and flora, exuberant landscapes, geological formations, life stories and cultural traditions, with great potential as tourist attractions. In this sense, one of the main activities of the Caminhos do Mar Project is to identify, map out and evaluate the potential and limitations of each of these attractions, generating subsidies for the development of itineraries and tourist products, which can be offered by tour guides and operators who work in the region.
