The project is developing activities and dynamics with innovative approaches to nature-based tourism, based on our team’s experience in environmental education and on successful examples of embarked tourism. Our objective is to present the tourist attractions of the region in a playful and creative way, promoting a different way to get in touch with nature and to be immersed in the Babitonga Ecosystem.
These ecotourism experiences are being developed from knowledge generated by scientific research. We want to promote a sense of belonging and appreciation of nature, combining scientific knowledge, environmental education, tourism and conservation. These activities and dynamics will be tested and validated, and we will produce a guide to aid tour operators in their application.
